On our 3rd day in Chicago we were lucky to have yet another gorgeous day!
We started the day by getting breakfast smoothies and taking them to Millennium Park.

Once we were at the park, Caroline couldn't resist getting a little wet. She had so much fun running around in the water. She was even making friends with some of the other
splashers :)

After some splashing around, we took a walk down Michigan Ave on our way to Navy Pier.

Navy Pier

Daddy and Caroline checking this popular tourist destination.

It didn't take Caroline long to spot the huge Ferris Wheel. You couldn't miss it!

For $6 per person per ride we were hoping that she would like it. And she did...although it took a few animal crackers to keep her from getting too close to the doors. Yikes!

While we were at Navy Pier we got the call from our friends, Tiff and Mike, that they were almost in Chicago. They live about 2.5 hours away and made the trip so that they could spend the day with us. Once they were in the city, we met up with them at
Portillo's for hot dogs and Italian Beef (Jason could have eaten there every day). And then it was off to the Lincoln Park Zoo. Tiff and Mike have 2 little girls,
Haylee and
Carli, so it was the perfect spot to take the kids.

Of course Caroline had to bring her crazy haired naked baby to the zoo with her :)

Once in the zoo, Daddy and Caroline loved checking out the under water view of the sea lions.

Caroline also really loved the Farm at the Zoo. She got to pet some goats, feed some cows, crawl around in a big egg, and get up close and personal with some honey bees.

Although her favorite part of the zoo was the monkey house. She loved looking at all of the monkeys...and acting like a little monkey herself :)

And we couldn't leave the zoo without a ride of the carousel.

Here is Caroline doing the sign for "Thank you". She was showing her appreciation for letting her go for a ride.
Aww!

After the zoo, we made a quick trip to Wrigley Field. We weren't able to get tickets to a game, but we made it to the ballpark just in time to hear the Cubs win!

And our day wouldn't be complete without some yummy Chicago food! We planned on heading to Gino's East for some deep dish pizza, but just didn't think that we could wait an hour for our pizza to cook. So we headed to Ed
Debevic's. It was so much fun and they make a good burger!

"Where is Caroline?"

"Here I am!"

One more day to go...
