Chicago - Day 2

Day 2 in Chicago was just as fun and eventful as Day 1.
We started our day by getting breakfast at a yummy Corner Bakery and then we headed over to our favorite spot, Millennium Park.

Walking through the gardens at the park.
More fun in the water!
Caroline, Daddy, and her naked wild haired baby doll. Caroline brought this doll from home and it never left her side. It figures that she favored her $10 baby doll to her expensive American Girl doll :)
After our quick trip to Millennium Park, we headed over to Shedd Aquarium. We have always loved the Baltimore Aquarium, but I have to say that Baltimore has nothing on the aquarium in Chicago. It was huge and there were so many fun things for Caroline to do and look at. And thank goodness we got there when we did, because when we left, there was a line at least a mile long to get into the aquarium!
Caroline loved looking at all of the fish.

One of Caroline's favorite things about the aquarium were the dolphins. She was able to watch them up close and then we watched a dolphin show. She was so sad when it was over :(
Thankfully, she cheered up quickly when we found the penguin exhibit.

After we left the aquarium, we walked around and enjoyed a gorgeous day. Caroline and her new friend (Daddy is a sucker for souvenirs) even posed for a picture.
Loving Chicago!
We even stopped to enjoy a Chicago Style Hot Dog. Yummy!!
Once Caroline had a full belly, she decided it was time to take a nap. Even sleeping little girls can pose for pictures :) Mommy and Caroline in front of the Buckingham Fountain in Grant Park.
Mommy and Daddy decided to take our sleeping beauty to Millennium Park to finish her nap, while we enjoyed some ice cream.

After some relaxation in the park, we headed back to the hotel to clean-up and get ready for dinner at Lou's. We couldn't go to Chicago without eating some deep dish pizza. It was SO good!
Our 2nd day in the Windy City was a lot of fun!

More to come...
