Election Day

Caroline took part in making history on November 4, 2008. She donned her red (okay pink), white, and blue and headed out to the polls with Mommy to vote for the next President of the United States of America. Although Caroline is many years away from casting a ballot herself, she got to help Mommy cast hers and even got an "I Voted" sticker. When Mommy (and Daddy later in the day) cast the ballot, they were voting for Caroline's future. Being a parent makes this whole process so much more special and important.

Here she is right after voting (her sad face is b/c Mommy got candy and a sticker, she only got the sticker).

Happy (belated) Halloween!

Caroline had a busy Halloween weekend. On Friday afternoon, Mommy and Caroline went to visit Daddy at work. We "trick-or-treated" through the hallways at his school. Then on Friday night, while Mommy and Daddy went to Aunt Kacey and Uncle Ben's rehearsal dinner, Caroline went to Mimi and Poppop's house. She got to go visit some of their neighbors and show off her cute little pink poodle costume. And then on Saturday, while Mommy and Daddy were at the wedding, Caroline got the spend the day with Granddad and Grandmom. It was a fun weekend for everyone!

The Newest Eagle's Fan

How does the daughter of a Pittsburgh Steelers' fan and a Chicago Bears' fan end up with an Eagle's jersey? Her Gigi, a diehard Eagle's fan made sure that Caroline's first jersey was a McNabb. She will definitely have a Big Ben jersey next year and whenever the Bears find a decent enough QB, she will have one of their jerseys too :)

Blowing Kisses

Caroline just learned how to blow kisses. Here is my best attempt at catching her on video blowing a kiss :)

Long Time No Post!

Sorry we have been MIA lately. We have been busy busy busy! Mommy and Daddy are both in the middle of their graduate school semesters and Daddy is wrapping up his football season. Oh and Caroline (the star of the show) is cutting THREE molars at one time! She has been pretty miserable, which makes us all pretty miserable. We just want her teeth to completely come through so we get our happy little girl back. She hasn't really been in the mood to have her picture taken lately, but here are a few from the past couple weeks...

A rare smile these days

Pumpkin Patch...Fail.

Is it possible that our little October baby hates hayrides and pumpkin patches!? I think so.

On Saturday we went to our town's "Octoberfest". We were in line to go on a hayride to pick pumpkins when Caroline decided to have a meltdown. I'm talking crying so hard she couldn't catch her breath, snot streaming out of the nose meltdown. Needless to say, we had to leave.
On Sunday we decided to try a different Pumpkin Patch. Caroline seemed to be having a great time when we first got there. She was playing on the swing set with Daddy, making friends with a little boy, it was all good. We even made it onto the hayride and all the way out to the pumpkin patch. But at the sight pumpkins, she lost it. Yep, another meltdown. Daddy quickly picked out 2 pumpkins and then headed back through the cornfields with a screaming Caroline while Mommy waited with the rest of the families (and their happy pumpkin loving kids) for the hayride back to the farm.
Sadly I don't have any cute pumpkin patch pictures (I even dressed her up in cute little fall-ish outfits -- as fall as an outfit can be when it's almost 80 degrees). Here is what I got...

She doesn't have an issue with wooden pumpkins...
And she liked the swing-set that we played on while we waited for the hayride...
But put her in a field of pumpkins and this is what you get...
