Happy Father's Day

Caroline had a wonderful Father's Day with her Daddy. Although the morning started out a bit rough (a tired teething baby can be a challenge), the afternoon was a lot of fun. We went to lunch at one of our favorite restaurants, TJ Rockwells. It was the perfect day to sit on the deck! After lunch we headed to another one of our favorite places...Chocolate World! You can't go wrong with chocolate :)

Her New Smile

Caroline has now cut her 4th tooth!! She has 2 teeth on the bottom (both in the middle), 1 of her middle top teeth, and now the smaller tooth next to that top tooth has cut through the gums. If you look closely at the pictures, you may be able to spot 3 of the 4 teeth. What a big girl!

Amish Country

Today we decided to take Caroline on her first trip to Intercourse, PA. Before Caroline was born, Jason and I would go to Intercourse on a regular basis to find little country accents for our house. This time we went to Intercourse and didn't buy any pretty stuff for the house, but instead we checked out the petting zoo (if you can count a horse, 2 sheep, and some hens as a petting zoo) and the wooden train. At the *petting zoo*, Caroline got to meet Derby, a mini horse, who is well trained in getting people to buy him food. When we approached his stall, he checked us out and then proceeded to walk out of the stall and over to the fence. On the fence was a blue plastic container, which Derby started hitting with his nose. Turns out that you can pay 25 cents for a handful of Derby's food, which you put in the blue plastic container. We couldn't resist his sweet face (although I have a feeling that if we didn't buy him some food, he wouldn't have been so sweet) and we bought him some food. After that, we went on the wooden train, which Caroline loved. We wanted to go on a horse and buggy ride, but we just couldn't justify paying $24.00 for a spin around a corn field...we'll leave that to the tourists. Overall, it was a really fun afternoon, hanging out with the tourists...and Derby the hungry horse.

Caroline's First Pool

The weather has been HOT, so we thought it was a good time to buy Caroline her very first baby pool. She wasn't so sure she liked it at first, but after I added some of her bath toys, she started to have a great time. It is good she likes it because if the weather stays this way, she will be *swimming* in her pool every day...and Mommy and Daddy may even try to squeeze in! :)

Caroline is 8 Months Old!!

Our baby is 8 Months Old!! She is such a big girl now - crawling (she is a little speedracer), pulling up on EVERYTHING, cruising around on the furniture, eating new foods all the time (including the occasional freeze pop) :) She is full of personality - she is always smiling, laughing, and babbling. It is going to be such a fun summer!

Kara + Caroline = BFF

On Saturday *Aunt* Kara and Mommy went to see Sex and the City (loved it!). After the movie, Kara came over to spend a little time with Miss C. We aren't sure if it was because Kara looks so young or if Caroline just really liked her, but whatever it was, Caroline couldn't get enough of Kara. From the second we walked in the door, Caroline didn't stop smiling and giggling. And once Caroline was on the floor, she crawled right over to Kara and sat on her lap. The smiling and the giggling continued. Once it was time for Kara to leave, Caroline actually reached out so that she could give Kara a hug goodbye! I think we found ourselves a new babysitter :)
